    Down a Rope

I just thought of a great idea for a story.    Well, your perspective of a great idea might differ from mine, so let me try (and miserably fail) to explain:

The most important work a man (and/or woman) can devote themselves to is in the creation of artistic works.

This isn't a post about 'Truth', so I rather not get off-topic by proving it true.  Instead, I'll add 'Prove Fundamental Function of Man' to my new todo list (TODO LIST ITEM#1: Create a ToDo List!).  Now, the title isn't 'Fundamental Function of Man (and/or Woman)' because that might just confuse people -- everyone knows what the fundamental function of a woman is anyways.

Regardless!  Story is a strange form of art in that it exists for one of the following reasons:
    1. inspire others through amazing acts
    2. inspire others by watching someone made more miserable than you are
    3. naked boobies
    (TODO LIST ITEM#3.141592653589793238462: Boobies)

Regardless!  Story is best told by testing multi-dimensional characters through circumstance and conflict.  Some believe that a 256th-dimensional hyper-character can approximate a hyper-sphere, which is pretty cool.

Regardless!  The whole point of this post was to relate a new character I invited while I was driving in my car (car goes VRoom-VRoom!).  The more I thought about it, the more messed up I realized the character is.  Like it might be literally evil to write a story with her.

    Title: Always Been Loved
    Name: {dunno.. how about Jane Litton}
    Age: Recent College Grad
Boobies: This is a character description, not some fanfic, you sick, pervert.
Background: Jane is somewhat unique in that she is the product of three different, loving fathers.  Her mother is somewhat of a free-spirit and got divorced and remarried twice while Jane was growing up.  Each time she was blessed with a new, caring father.  The other ones were still around for the most part, though.

She's not a spoiled princess, though.  She's really confident about herself -- maybe too confident.  She has a lot of friends, but hasn't had many serious relationships.  Probably has a little, mousy friend she's close to (but doesn't really know -- although she doesn't know that she doesn't really know the friend).

She's smart, strong, a hard worker, and talented at some creative art.

Jane's basically perfect.  Never had a down day in her whole life.  She doesn't worry (or really even think) about the future.  !!!

Sounds pretty cool, right?  Which, is the problem.  I invented this character and then my mind went into 'place into an interesting situation' mode.  There is really only one kind of story that this girl would fit into: one in which she suffers a complete and total destruction.

Basically, she'd get her heart ripped out (metaphorically, you pervert) and stepped on (still with metaphors) by some jerk.  Her 'so called' friends would desert her.  This would spill over to her work and her family life.  The story would probably end with her either: 1. miserable and alone  2. dead  3. winning the lottery and learning that money gets you all the friends and love that you want/need.   !!!

Of course, I could always go with 'story purpose #3' and just have her dance around nekked for a few hundred pages.  You'd like that, wouldn't you?  Pervert.
